"If you want to paint flowers, then go to BUGA. It’s fantastic there!" I kept hearing from everyone . BUGA is the Britzer Garten in Berlin, where the National Horticultural Show took place in 1985. So I made my way there one day to paint tulips. I thought of herbaceous borders and manicured horticultural installations, but behind the entrance, a nice surprise awaited: a huge meadow full of yellow and red tulips and white apple blossom in full bloom. This was simply enchanting and I could not resist it. So I abandoned all my plans, looked for a nice spot in the meadow, far from the path, and enjoyed the day and the symbiosis of human effort and pure nature.
